Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has paid glowing tribute to former Black Stars defender, Samuel Inakoom for his selflessness, dedication and commitment.
Interacting with pressmen at the unveiling of a partnership between the Samuel Inkoom Football Management Agency (SIFMA) and HK-Invest, Asamoah Gyan opened up on his relationship with Samuel Inkoom and commended him for the strides he has made over the years.
To highlight some virtues of Samuel Inkoom, Asamoah Gyan recounted a fond memory of how Samuel Inkoom 'served' him during national team camping in Winneba.
"During my time at acadamicals, I saw him in Winneba. He was one of the academy boys. He saw something in me and even started washing my stuff for me at the age of 14. When he came to the national team he tried to remind me and I said 'You were that boy?'. So he has always been humble, committed and hard-working," he said.
Asamoah Gyan further noted that the initiative taken by Inkoom to unearth talents for Ghana inspired him to attend the launch.
"I'm here to support Samuel because I like to give back (to society). That's what we want. We want to help the younger generation to succeed, so when I see an initiative like this, I always want to support it."
"He's been a brother to me and has been very supportive of me. Every event I do, he supports but I'm not looking at that. It is the fact that he is helping these young ones to have a life, so why not?"
The Samuel Inkoom Football Management Agency (SIFMA) on Friday, April 19, 2024, unveiled its partnership with HK-Invest with both organisations pledging their commitment to the discovery and harnessing of Ghanaian football talents.
