Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been selected to be honoured at the annual ADLER Entrepreneurship Awards meant to acknowledge the accomplishments of Africans in Europe and in Africa.
The 28-year-old has been selected in the category of: ‘Diaspora Youth Motivator Award’ for his immense talent and economic contribution to Africa.
The Al Ain ace has used his football profession to affect the lives of thousands in Ghana.
Gyan through his various business investments in his native country has provided a source of employment for several people.
He has also through his foundation been able to fund the education of brilliant but financially challenged students through his scholarship schemes whiles providing several other relieves to society.
The ex Sunderland hitman’s Baby Jet Promotions has also been successful in promoting boxing while projecting the name of Ghana on the international stage through its lead fighter Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Clottey.
Gyan will thus be honoured for these various contributions to society at the grand event scheduled to take place on December 6 at the Steigenberger Hotel Metropolitan in Frankfurt.
The ADLER Entrepreneurship Awards has been handed to 78 individuals from all walks of life since its inception in 2005.
The awards are presented to Africans and people of African descent that show the greatest promise of contribution to human well-being, through the creation and application of their activities, intellect and knowledge.
