Inter Allies whizkid George Asamoah is confident of victory over giants Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup final on Sunday.
The 16-year-old left –footed attacking midfielder, who has been one of Inter Allies’ best players this season, believes that a win over the Porcupine Warriors will spur them on to achieve more laurels next term.
“We are in the final and we want to win this silverware. I am convinced we will achieve that,” Asamoah told Goal Ghana. “We can win titles with this squad. This is very important for the fans as well, because they have been waiting for so long.”
He added: “I am very proud of the team. We finished 6th in the league, qualified for the Confederation Cup and we are in the FA Cup final. If we can win the cup, then it will be a great season.”
Asamoah conceded that it will take a great deal of hard work to achieve a Kotoko scalp, but they are poised to give off their best to realise their first major silverware.
He said: “However, it will be a tough game because they are league champions. We beat them the last time we met as well and they will be seeking for revenge but we will fight till the end.”
The MTN FA Cup final kicks off Sunday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
