Asamoah 'sparks Man City, Arsenal and Spurs transfer battle'

The 22-year-old Ghanaian has been causing a stir with his recent performances for Udinese - at the weekend he assisted in the Serie A club's 7-0 victory away to Palermo.

Kwadwo Asamoah has caught the eye of Manchester City Asamoah's representative Claudio Vagheggi revealed there has been interest from numerous clubs from across the continent, with the Premier League teams at the front of the pack.

He explained: 'I cannot deny that there are several clubs interested.

'Manchester City? It's true but they are not the only ones interested in Asamoah.

'But we have decided not to speak about Udinese's transfer market right now because it is premature.

'Udinese's strategy is to focus on the season right now.'

Big-spending City and Spurs will be the favourites for his signature, as the Italian club are believed to value the player in excess of £25million.

Another Udinese player on the radar of Premier League clubs is forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean scored four in the destruction of Palermo and is being chased by Chelsea and Manchester United, while Udinese chairman Franco Soldati recently revealed one mystery club has already bid £30million.
