Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed has disclosed that Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold SC are not ready to represent Ghana at next season's Caf inter-club competitions.

Kotoko and Ashgold will participate in the Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively following the cancellation of the 2019/20 league season by the Executive Council of the GFA.

According to the 32-year-old, the two clubs are not prepared to feature in the competitions next season.

He suggested that Medeama SC and Aduana Stars should have been given the nod to represent Ghana following their impressive performances in the truncated 2019/20 season.

"I don’t have a problem with the two clubs that have been selected to represent Ghana in the Champions League and Confederation Cup. However, are these two clubs ready to go and lift the flag of Ghana high?” he quizzed.

"In fact at the moment no Ghana Premier League (GPL) club is ready for Africa. The FA would have to select the top 18 players in the GPL to represent Ghana in those competitions” he suggested on Angel 102.9FM.

"Based on the preparation of clubs Aduana and Medeama should have the nod to represent Ghana. Those teams are very well prepared."
