Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei will pick a nomination form to contest the Ghana Football Association presidency, according to circling media reports.
Asempa FM Sports reported on Thursday night, the business mogul wants to throw in his hat and if he does it will throw the race wide open.
He will be regarded as a major threat against old faces like George Afriyie, Winfred Osei and Nana Yaw Amponsah who have openly declared interests.
Dr Kyei is the CEO of Unity Oil Company Limited, Light FM, Light TV, Vision1 FM, Sports Hotel and the Sports Recreational Centre and many other subsidiaries.
He owns Airfutures Limited, a domestic private airline company registered in Ghana.
The Normalisation Committee of the Ghana FA will announce the election guidelines next week.
This was after Congress on Thursday adopted the new statues for the Football Association.
