Asante Kotoko have announced the reconstruction of the Adako Jachie training complex to a modern training facility.

The club announced the upcoming project via a post on X (formerly Twitter), indicating that the life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will fund it.

"We are delighted to announce the commencement of the transformation of Adako Jachie into a state-of-the-art training facility. This ambitious project, fully funded by His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will be executed in multiple phases. Today marks the beginning of Phase One."

According to the pictorial display of the edifice, the training centre will have three training pitches, four mini-pitches, and housing units.

Phase One of the project is already underway, although the time frame for completion was not given.

Rebuilding Adako Jachie appears to be Otumfuo's long-term desire as he promised to give the training centre a befitting facelift following a tour in 2023.

Chairman of the National Circles Council (NCC), Christopher Damenya, revealed the King's plans in a previous interview with Akoma FM.

“We took him around and exposed our challenges to him,” Christopher Damenya told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

“He (Otumfuo) promised to rebuild the AJ project and make it more befitting, so he has taken the architectural design. Very soon, we will all witness the Adako Jachie project from a different perspective," he added.
