General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has revealed that his side is not ready for both Africa Inter Clubs Competitions despite a smooth start in his tenure of office.
George Amoako said that his current squad is not ready for Africa and it will not make business to send think to that direction because they will run at a loss at the end of the day.
“We are not ready for Africa, this is not the squad for Africa, you have to prepare your team very well else you will run at a loss.
“Ask for the budget of the clubs who went to Africa recently that is where you will know that it is not easy.
“We have to prepare very well with a solid team, so that when we go, everyone will know that we are coming, when you even get to the money zone, you will get something small but you if are not able to, you will use three years to pay your debt” he said in an interview.
The last time Kotoko won a continental trophy was in 1983 and has since struggled to win again.
