Asante Kotoko maintain winning spree

Asante Kotoko moved within touching distance of the Glo Premier League title after beating Tudu Mighty Jets 2-0 in their week 25 clash on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Goals in each half from Daniel Nii Agyei and Gideon Baah powered the Porcupine Warriors to 14-points clear at the top whilst worsening the plight of Mighty Jets in their battle against relegation.

Kotoko, who made changes to their squad proved too much for their hosts and cruised to a famous win.

Eight minutes before the break, Nii Agyei broke the deadlock to give his side a lone goal lead at half time.

Mighty Jets resumed purposefully but could not break through the Kotoko defence marshaled by captain Ohene Brenya.

Three minutes from time, Baah, who returned to action after a career threatening injury last season sealed victory by connecting home Ahmed Toure’s pass.**
