Asante Kotoko have announced the contract termination of duo Abass Mohammed and Frederick Boateng after a number of years with the club.
Boateng who joined the Reds as a free agent after ending his stay with Inter Allies has struggled to fit into coach CK Akonnor’s plans forcing the club to release him.
On his part, Abass Mohammed has failed to live up to the billing since joining from Medeama SC.
The club terminated the contracts of the two strikers on mutual consent.
Both strikers were offered the opportunity to impress following Akonnor’s appointment as head coach but failed to take the chance.
The Porcupine Warriors announced on Thursday that the contract of the players have been terminated, wishing them well in their future endeavors.
