Ghanaian duo of Solomon Asante and Daniel Nii Adjei fine-tuned their preparation for their CAF Champions League home clash against FC Smouha with braces each over the weekend.

The TP Mazembe duo starred in an internally organized game for the Congolese ahead of the August 8 CAF Champions League group stage matches at home.

Solomon Asante capped an impressive outing in the friendly encounter with a double of strikes on either end.

The nimble footed former Berekum Chelsea man was adjudged the best player on the day for his unique combination of artistry and quick feet in front of the over 10,000 spectators.

Daniel Nii Agyei replicated the feat of his compatriot with a brace as well to his name.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfield general bossed affairs from the right wing and ended the exercise with 2 goals under his belt. Adjei was among the goal scorers in Egypt in the 0-2 away win for the Congolese.

The match was organized to fine-tune TP Mazembe ahead of the return leg against FC Smouha. Yaw Frimpong was absent from the exhibition exercise due to his suspension in the continental showpiece.
