Liberty Professional attacking midfeilder Kenndy Ashia has swerved Ashgold and Kotoko to land a lucrative deal with Al Hilal in Sudan.

The experience midfeilder was closed to joining Bashiru Hayford and his Miners ahead of the 2015/16 season only to pull the plug on the deal at the final hurdle.

Ashia led George Lamptey men to a respectable fifth place after a terrible start to the season.

Kennedy Ashia registered 11 goals for the Dansoman based premier league campaigners to incite a transfer tussle on the domestic league. The strongly built center forward was part of the local Black Stars team that crushed out at the hands of Ivory Coast.

The sort after creative gem came closed to joining the 2015/16 FCPPL Champions before securing that lucrative deal with the Sudanese champions. Ashia will be joining the Sudanese champions as they look to embark on a lengthy continental journey next season.

The departure of Ashia has ruled any slim chance of Latif Blessing leaving the Carl Reindorf side ahead of the season. Former Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah and 2014 goal king Augustine Okrah are the notable Ghanaians currently in the Sudanese topflight.
