Yakubu Abdul Salam, President of New Edubiase FC has emphatically told Asante Kotoko to forget about star player, Asiedu Atobrah, insisting that the former Ghana FA Cup winners have already received offers from clubs outside for the mercurial forward.
Atobrah who has consistently excelled for Edubiase in the Ghanaian league was reportedly top of Kotoko’s transfer list in the last Ghanaian transfer window, Edubiase apparently putting a $50,000 transfer fee on his head.
Kotoko failed to grab their man that time but the Porcupine Warriors still have the striker on their radar with reports again circulating that the two Ashanti Region clubs have already agreed a fee for a January transfer.
But Mr. Abdul Salam took to Facebook to point out clearly that the player won’t be sold to the Ghana champions at any price whatsoever.
“There is a rumour that Atobrah has been sold to Kotoko FC. I wish to tell my fellow club owners in the Ghana Premier League that Asiedu Atobrah is not for sale. DLT Sport management is currently in-charge of his transfer. He already has offers from international clubs. Thank you,” the New Edubiase capo wrote on his timeline Thursday evening.
