The astute sports journalist who is also a legal practitioner is charging both the nation’s Football Governing body to officially write to UK-based Television Sky Sports to inquire whether Black Stars coach Avram Grant has a contract with them.
According to Mr. Amoaning, Grant’s ‘unacceptable behavior exhibited recently clearly shows the GFA has lost control on the former Chelsea manager and suspects something might have happened between the two parties.
He argues if the FA had been very strict on the 2015 AFCON finalist, he wouldn’t have taken a whole country like Ghana for granted.
His comment comes after Avram Grant snubbed the 2017 African Nations Cup draw in Libreville Gabon for a punditry job on SkySports.
Mr. Amoaning is of the view that since the GFA has failed to control the Israeli coach, it would be prudent for the sports ministry led by Nii Lante Vanderpuye to step in front to ensure he [Avram Grant] conducts himself very well to merit the $50,000 paid him monthly.
Avram Grant is a shameless person. What annoys me most is that, he said nobody can control him. Instead of him to go to the AFCON draw, he decided to go to Skysports
Speaking on Abusua FM Saturday’s Sports Arena, the astute legal practitioner said Avram Grant has already stated the FA can’t control him hence his disrespectful attitude towards his pay masters.
‘’Before he left for Skysports program, he said nobody can control him. ‘‘He stupidly said even Abramovic the billionaire and the owner of Chelsea couldn’t control him. This shows how little minded he is’’.
You are talking about Abramovic when you are dealing with a whole country.
I blame the FA for Avram grant behavior. How can they leave this man to misbehave like that? Mr Foh Amoaning angrily asked.
I think the ministry should come in when the FA cannot control this man.
You cannot be paid 50,000 dollars with tax payers’ money and be talking rubbish. I think he has another contract that he is pursuing that’s why he is behaving like that and is a fundamental breach with the contract he has with Ghana. Avram Grant has taken Ghanaians as fools.
The FA and the ministry can write to Skysports and find out whether they have contract with Avram Grant or not. Ghana can sue Skysports for encouraging someone to breach his contract and it is an actionable thoughts.
‘’I will see the FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi personally to discuss this with him. This is where the minister has to sit up. Avram Grant has to come and explain to Ghanaians why he chose to go to Skysports instead of AFCON draw and sue him for damages and report to FIFA for his conduct’’.
I think Avram Grant is using Ghana job as part-time so why should a part-time worker take 50,000 dollars?.
