Ghana winger Christian Atsu will be given the freedom to bomb forward in Bournemouth’s Premier League opener against Aston Villa.

The Cherries will be hosting Villa in their Premier League opener on Saturday.

And manager Eddie Howe insists they will not abandon their attacking style that led them to success in the Championship last season.

“We’re certainly going to go out the same way in terms of how we approach the game,” he said.

“We’re going to be brave and we’ll try to take the game to opposing teams.

“That is our way, that is what we’re accustomed to, that is what our players expect us to do.”

Saturday’s game will be pitting Christian Atsu against compatriot Jordan Ayew who only moved to the Premier League from Lorient this summer.
