Attuquayefio Expresses Disgust Over Bribery Allegation

The former head coach of Black Stars, Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio has expressed his utmost disgust over bribery allegations levelled against local coaches. “If anyone knows a culprit, mention his name for appropriate sanctions to be meted to him”, he fumed during Radio interview with Space Fm.

Attuquayefio who was speaking to Space Fm did not hide his adherence to continuous reliance on foreign Coaches most of who are no better than the local ones. He asked those in Authority to give our local Coaches the moral and logistic support and see if they cannot perform.

The head coach of the national team of Benin said the secrete behind his success in Benin is total commitment on the part of both the playing body and the administrators.

On the allegation of his possible U-turn to handle Black Stars, he said at the moment he has a one year contract with Benin which he does not intend to abrogate in any way. He however hinted that he would never turn his back to his motherland when he is given the job after leaving Benin.

The 2000 African coach of the year is currently on a training tour in the country with his team from Benin.
