Canadian-Dutch defender Marcel de Jong feels frustrated by his lack of first team action at Augsburg due to the presence of Abdul Baba Rahman and wants to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
The 28-year-old is unhappy with his role as benchwarmer following the arrival of the in-form Ghanaian international.
Rahman has made the left-back role his primary commodity as he continues to churn out impressive performances week-in-week-out.
His performance has blighted the chances of de Jong who has been left frustrated and dissatisfied.
“I signed with the idea that I will get the chance to play,” he told kicker.
“But it obvious things are not working perfectly. If it stays that way, it’s clear that I will leave. “I am not satisfied.”
Rahman has been an integral figure for the Bundesliga outfit since he joined from Greuth Furth at the start of the season.
