Wolfsberger AC secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Austria Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, with Ghanaian attacker Augustine Boakye capping off the win with a late goal.

The result marked a significant shift in the head-to-head record between the two teams, which previously stood at 21 wins for Austria Wien, 16 wins for Wolfsberger AC, and 9 draws.

Boakye, who has been in impressive form this season, came on as a substitute in the 69th minute, replacing Maximilian Scharfetter at the Generali Arena. Despite Austria Wien dominating possession and shots throughout the game, it was Wolfsberger AC who proved more clinical in front of goal.

The scoring began in the 36th minute when Samson Tijani's left-footed shot from outside the box found the bottom left corner, following a corner. The lead was doubled in the 55th minute as Thierno Ballo converted a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Simon Piesinger extended Wolfsberger AC's lead in the 76th minute, heading in from close range after a cross from Ervin Omic during a set-piece situation. Boakye then put the icing on the cake in the second minute of stoppage time, scoring with a left-footed shot from the center of the box, assisted by Dominik Baumgartner's through ball.

Boakye's goal was his eighth in the Austrian Bundesliga this season, having played 25 games and provided six assists.
