According to DailySoccerGhana.com checks, Pirates have not contacted Maritzburg to open negotiations for the capture of the ex-Asante Kotoko back-liner.
Media reports had earlier claimed the 26-year-old would join Orlando Pirates on a three-year-deal after he returns from national team duty at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Mohammed’s contract with Maritzburg expires in June, but according to the player’s existing contract, the Team of Choice have an option to renew the deal for another two years.
