Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has revealed that scoring on his Premier League debut for Swansea City against Chelsea was a great moment.
The 26-year-old joined the Welch side from Marseille this season and hit the ground running on opening day with a goal in their 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
He has scored ten more goals since then but claims the strike against the defending champions stands tall.
"To score on my debut at the home of the champions [Chelsea] was a great moment for me," Ayew was quoted as saying by Walesonline.co.uk.
"I’m not really a striker but if I have the chance to score I will. People in this team try to help and that helps you adapt," he added.
Ayew was named Swansea joint top scorer with Gylfi Sigurdsson but the Ghanaian could become the sole winner if he scores, as opposed to Sigurdsson, against Manchester City next weekend.
