Ayew's Swansea slump to yet another defeat

The woeful run of Andre Ayew's Swansea City in the Premier League was further extended with a 1-0 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.

James Milner converted a 62nd minute penalty to secure all three points for Liverpool before their home fans at Anfield.

Swansea offered almost nothing going forward with most of it's attacking players especially Andre Ayew putting in the work to help out at the back.

Liverpool who bossed the game thoroughly were unlucky to have gone into recess without scoring with the likes of Benteke and Firmino all coming close to scoring.

Garry Monk's side lacked the ambition to open up to for a goal until they went behind after Neil Taylor was ruled to have handled the ball in the penalty area.

Milner stepped up to slot home in what eventually proved to be the winning goal.

Monk tried to change things a bit by bringing on the likes of Bafetimbi Gomis and Jefferson Montero but all to no avail as they head back to Wales with nothing.

The result sees Swansea's poor record in the English top flight extend to just one win in 11 games as they keep sliding towards the drop zone.
