Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew put some gallantry on display as he scored what proved to be the match winner for Lorient as they defeated Toulouse 3-2 in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday night.
Lorient had comfortably gone 3-1 ahead with Jordan appearing to have cemented the win for his side after he struck in the 60th minute but the host gave them a late scare by pulling one back.
It was a well converted penalty by the Black Stars striker. The 23-year old slotted home a spot-kick for Lorient on the hour mark to put them 3-1 ahead, a lead which would prove enough to secure all three points.
The goal marks Jordan’s fourth of the season for Lorient.
