B/A Second Division Middle league enters second day

Sunyani (B/A) March 12, GNA - The Brong-Ahafo Regional Second Division Middle League entered its second day on Friday with Bechem United topping Zone "A" with six points after winning all their two matches so far played.

Bechem United beat Techiman Roving Rovers 1-0 in the first match of the four-day competition and followed up to make mince meat of Goaso Nananom F/C with a 2-0 win on Friday.

The competition took place at the Coronation Park in Sunyani and featured eight teams with four each in Zones "A" and "B". Atebubu AFA Club and Roving Rovers have three points each with the same goal difference and accordingly follow in that order on the table. AFA, after beating Nananom 1-0 in their first outing, surprisingly succumbed 0-1 to Roving Rovers in their second match, while Rovers also suffered the same fate after losing 0-1 to Bechem United in their first match but made amends to beat AFA 1-0 on Friday.

Nananom lie at the bottom of the ladder with no point after Friday's matches. They lost 0-1 to AFA Club and 0-2 to Bechem United. In the Zone "B" encounter, each of the competing teams recorded three point wins, thus throwing the leadership of the Zone an open affair to all for the next stage the result of which qualifies the winner into the Regional First Division.

Wamfie Great Mansen beat Nsoatreman F/C 1-0 in their first match but lost 1-2 to Berekum Berlin F/C in the second match, while Nsoatreman F/C after bowing 0-1 to Great Mansen sprung back to beat local rivals, Nsoatre Manchester United by a lone goal on Friday. Berlin F/C after a defeat of 0-2 at the hands of Manchester United managed to defeat Great Mansen 2-1 on Friday, while Manchester United after winning 2-0 over Berlin succumbed 0-1 to rejuvenated Nsoatreman F/C.
