Hundreds of Ghanaians from all walks of life on Saturday 26th June 2017 joined top ranked Dansoman based Body Fitness Centre (BFC) Gym and Walkers Club Ghana to stage one of the biggest and incident-free health events witnessed in recent times in the country.

The mammoth event was made possible thanks to the collaboration of sponsors, partners and donors.

Ghana's rapidly rising television station; Kwesé Sports, announced a bumper giveaway of dozens of decoders for all participants in a special special raffle draw.

The participants were first taken through warm up stretching for some minutes before being led into aerobics sessions by SEVEN fully qualified fitness instructors.

The carnival atmosphere had in attendance media practitioners, families, social clubs, colts teams, schools, politicians, corporate companies, NGO's, churches and charitable organisations.

In his interaction with the media, Kwese Sports anchor and navigator for Walkers Club Ghana, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah opined that there is potentially a new cross market audience waiting to be tapped and embraced by corporate and civic Ghana.

He pointed to the huge crowd and urged corporate bodies to take advantage of the growing rate of fitness and networking walks in the country to sell their products.

" I've been involved with these health/fitness/networking collaborations over the years but I must confess this new craze and phenomenon is just extraordinary.

Ghanaians are now seriously interested in healthy living and are keen to invest in their health".

A number of celebrities made appearances and took part in the sessions including Gasmilla, Patrice Amegashie, former Black Stars defender Sam Johnson, Kweku Ofosuhene of Kwese TV among others

According to Oxigen Sports statistics, walking and aerobics are two of the most common, popular and least expensive ways to stay healthy.

The head of Kwesé sales and Marketing in Ghana Kweku Ofosuhene told Ghanaweb that his outfit were not just giving away decoders as a one-off event but would be fully engaged with clubs, communities and companies who promote healthy lifestyles.

"Kwesé Sports is a partner here beyond just offering amazing quality viewing through our decoders. We are also actively participating in this healthy lifestyle crusade"

The event was recorded for future telecast in the upcoming semi reality show "The Sports Diary"
