Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, Research and Corporate Affairs of The Royal Bank, Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuako, has proposed continuous body exercise for Ghanaians.
Frequent body exercise, he stated, has several advantages, as it would enable a person to stay strong and fit in order to play a role in transforming the country.
Dr. Baah-Nuako was speaking to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS after the ‘Kumasi Walks With Royal Bank’ health walk which was massively patronized in the Ashanti Region on Saturday.
Members of the 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis and Squash clubs, staff of Royal Bank, students of Anesthesia, KATH, military personnel and representatives of radio stations, took part in the walk.
Dr. Baah-Nuako stated that the walk was geared towards enhancing the fitness and health of participants, stressing that healthy customers bring profit to organizations.
Samuel Ampadu-Kyei aka ‘Kyikyiss’, president of the Mess Tennis Club said the participants walked through the streets of Kumasi for almost three hours and climaxed the event with aerobics. He gave the assurance that the walk would be sustained.
He said the aim of the walk is to enhance the stamina and health of the participants, noting that the exercise would not be a nine-day wonder as it would be repeated soon.
Kyikyiss commended The Royal Bank for sponsoring the walk, appealing to the financial institution to assist Mess Tennis Club to renovate its tennis courts to promote the sport.
