Baah seals permanent deal with Honka

Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah has signed a two-year deal with Honka, Goal Ghana understands.

The player, who was originally signed on a season-long loan in March made an instant impact leading to a long term contract with the Finnish side.

“I am very happy to have signed a two-year contract with FC Honka because I have been working really hard for it,” Baah said.

“I have been here for about four months now and have had a regular spot in the team. I feel more relaxed since I signed and can concentrate on my game. When your career is in limbo it can be quite unsettling.”

Baah shot to fame in a TV soccer reality show in Ghana. He had the chance to move to England to tour the facilities at Chelsea and other clubs before joining the Porcupine Warriors.

His agent Eby believes the guardsman has made the right decision.

“It's all been very exciting. Gideon is now an FC Honka player and has been getting his feet well under the table. He has even managed to find a Ghanaian market in Helsinki where he stocks up on local Ghanaian food,” she stated.
