NEWS reaching the desk of 90 Minutes indicates that Baba “Armando” Adamu is on course to re-launch his career in Ghana after a fruitless sojourn in Turkey. A very gifted, silky and skillful forward, “Armando” as he is affectionately called is a household name in Ghana already after making headlines with Kumasi Asante Kotoko a couple of years back. And now if reports filtering through is anything to go by, then we should see the mercurial player lacing his boots for the Phobians, even though word is also going round that the Porcupine Warriors are also in the frame to secure his services.
Armando has reportedly left Turkish outfit, Sakaryaspor where he played seven matches and scored one goal. He is reportedly willing to talk to potential suitors who can meet his asking price of 100,000 US Dollars and a monthly salary of 4,000 US Dollars.
Reports also indicate that former Hearts of Oak hard man, Dan Quaye who plies his trade in China has given indication to Hearts of Oak that if planned moves to some European clubs fall through, then he will like to don the rainbow colours again. Quaye has been linked with clubs like RSC Anderlecht in Belgium and IFK Gothenburg in Sweden respectively. He won virtually everything with the Hearts including six domestic league titles, two national cups, the African Champions League in 2000 and the continental Confederations Cup the same year.
