Baba: Can't wait to watch Usain Bolt

Chelsea defender Baba Rahman says he’s looking forward to watching icon Usain Bolt at the upcoming Olympic Games.

The Jamaican sprinter, who currently holds the world record in the 100 and 200 metres, will undoubtedly be the focus of attraction when this year's gathering gets underway on Friday in Rio, Brazil.

"I remember watching Usain Bolt winning gold," Baba told Chelsea's official website.

"He is somebody I look up to because he sets records and then breaks it and then does it all over again.

"He is always interesting to watch."

Baba equally has eyes on Ghana at the competition but laments the Africans' inability to qualify for the football event.

Aged 22, the left-back is under the Olympic football age, and would have been eligible to compete for Ghana.

"We have a few athletes who have qualified, I think about 10 or 15, and I hope they do well," the defender added.

"Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify for the football tournament. The last medal Ghana got was in the football in 1992 when we came third."

Baba is on the verge of completing a season-long loan move to German side Schalke 04.

The transfer is only awaiting official confirmation, with the player having already joined the club for their preseason camp in Austria.
