Baba Rahman is phenomenal - Alonso

Bayern Munich enforcer Xabi Alonso has praised Ghana international Baba Abdul Rahman for his stellar display in the German Bundesliga.

The former Real Madrid and Liverpool player who joined Bayern this summer has been monitoring the Augsburg defender closely in the ongoing season.

“Looks like he has the ability to become a top left-back and might even be better suited as a left-wing back,” Alonso wrote as his comment following a publication by top European football website whoscored.com.

“He should have a lot more assists to be fair, but been let down by his finishing of his team-mates at times, but Augsburg have started the season off very well,” the Spain international added.

Meanwhile, the in-form guardsman, who will be on international duty with Ghana in Kampala, Uganda, has stated that he is ready to prove his mettle once again.

“Everything is going on well and camp is great, we are looking forward to the game this weekend and praying for a win over Uganda,” Baba told Goal Ghana. “I am hoping to do my best if I get the chance to play as I keep on developing.”
