Baba Rahman's rise surprises Gargo

Ex-Ghana midfielder Mohammed Gargo is the latest to heap praise on Baba Abdul Rahman after his impressive performance in Ghana’s 3-1 win against Guinea.

The 21-year-old finally announced himself as a key player of the team with superb defensive and attacking displays as left back.

Rahman, who plays for Bundesliga side Augsburg, made his debut against Togo last month and has since not looked back.

His international teammate Emmanuel Agyemang Badu could not hold back his admiration for the former Kotoko player who could solve Ghana’s left back problem.

Gargo is not surprised by Rahman’s meteoric rise in international football.

“Baba is one player that has got all attributes to continue excelling in football. He is quick tall and very intelligent,” the former Udinese icon told GHANASoccernet.com.

“People are beginning to notice his influence just like all good players get attention, If you look at his performance even in Germany which is not a small league you will see how influence he can be to the nation with more games.”
