Black Stars enforcer Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has dedicated the goal he scored against DR Congo to team-mate Kwadwo Asamoah.
Speaking to the media this morning at the Garden Court Hotel were the Black Stars are residing, the Udinese enforcer said it was a great feeling to be the first player to score the first goal of the tournament.
“First I felt very great for this wasn’t only my effort. It was a great effort from my team mate and that’s why I was able to score. I dedicate the goal to Kwadwo Asamoah.
I had a one two with Asamoah and he brought the ball back to me. That was why I was able to score that goal, so I dedicate this first goal in the African tournament to my former clubmate Kwadwo Asamoah.”
