Ex Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe served as the General Coordinator in the finals of the CAF Champions League game between TP Mazembe and USM Alger on Sunday.

The 50-year-old was handed the task as one of CAF’s and FIFA’s finest co-ordinator to handle the second leg match of the finals in Lubumbashi.

Baffoe led both teams out in the game that was eventually won by TP Mazembe. The Congolese giants secured a nervy 2-0 win to win their fifth CAF Champions League title on a 4-1 aggregate scoreline.

This was after the Ravens had secured an impressive 2-1 win in the first leg match last weekend in Algeria.

Three Ghanaian players; Yaw Frimpong, Richard Kissi Boateng and Solomon Asante started the game for TP Mazembe with midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei also getting a piece of the action as a second-half substitute.

Anthony Baffoe performed a similar role in the finals of the 2014 World Cup between Germany and Argentina.
