Head coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has disclosed that, major problem of his side is how they handle balls, aftermath of John Agyekum Kuffour Anniversary cup in Kumasi.
The former Ashanti Gold SC trainer, C.K Akonnor failed to dominant the midfield in their 1-1 draw against regional rivals Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC in the first leg of the former state man John Agyekum Kuffour 80th birthday anniversary cup.
The Miner's overpowered the porcupine warriors in the entire duration of the game despite Kotoko SC breaking the deadlock few minutes into the second half.
According to the trainer, ball handling is becoming a worry and it's a "major problem" facing currently."I wouldn't say we had a bad day because we had the chances to score but the inability to finish upfront was poor"We were able to create goal scoring opportunities but couldn't score in the second half as well".
"Our opponent played better than us, they possessed more than us and dominated" Am not happy with how we possessed the ball and it's becoming a major problem for me", he said in post match conference.
Coach Akonnor is barely a year old with the club, however he was in charge when the porcupine warriors played Tarkwa based premier outfit Medeama SC in a 1-1 drawn game, as well as Skyy FC and Unicorn FC in the Western region.
He guided the team to beat Kenyan side, Kariobangi Sharks in the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
