Former Black Queens head coach Bashir Hayford says he is enjoying his job as the Somalian national team Technical Director but admits the East African country is a terrifying place to stay.

Hayford was appointed as the Technical Director for the “Horn of Africa” in March this year and he is doing everything possible for the war torn country to revive their football.

However, the ex-Kotoko coach maintains that he has been seeing frightening things as missiles are shot every where.

” I’m faring well in Somalia but the little challenge is the volatile situation here. Everyday there is a bomb blast. Sometimes, I hear the bomb blast whiles sleeping. I see smoke and it is scary but I’m managing. As for guns, it is like knockout in Ghana. My short stay here has made me realize that, Ghana is really blessed.” Hayford told Angel FM.

The experienced trainer has also previously coached Heart of Lions, Medeama as well as Dwarfs.
