AshGold head coach Bashiru Hayford says he is yet to begin preparation for their CAF Champions League campaign.

Hayford led AshGold to their first ever Ghana league trophy in almost two decades after seeing off the late challenge of Asante Kotoko in the 2014/2015 league season.

The Obuasi-based club put up a labored display to lose 1-0 at the hands of Asante Kotoko in the 2015 SWAG cup, sparking concerns if they can compete effectively in the CAF Champions League.

But head coach Bashiru Hayford says fans of the club should be calm as he is yet to begin preparations for the continental competition.

“I am yet to start preparation for the Africa challenge so I cannot answer any questions on that,” Hayford said after loss to Kotoko

“I have some new players but we just started ball work so it’s another day’s work but for now we are yet to begin preparations for Africa.”
