Former Dreams FC striker Abdul Basit Khalid wants to use his Kosovo as a launch pad to play in the major European leagues.

The 20-year-old joined FC Pristinha last week after banging the goals to help Dreams qualify to the Ghana Premier League

“First I will see glory be to God for this move, the transition from Ghana to a different league has been good. It is every player’s dream to play in Europe and Kosovo is a good starting platform for me,” Basit told Footballmadeinghana.com.

"I want to make a name with this team and be the best striker they have ever had in their history which I am optimistic that I can achieve.

"In my first training game I netted four goals which is a good morale booster for me and has increased my confidence."

However, Khalid admits language has been a barrier but he is confident of scaling through.

"Communication is not too good but I am learning the basics which I will use on the field because that is what really matters most for now,” he added.

"There are five other Africans in the team from Congo so we will adapt well."
