Ghanaian boxer Bastie Samir held a public workout at the Bukom Boxing Arena as part of preparations towards his mega Cruiserweight fight against his tough talking opponent Braimah Kamoko also known ‘Bukom Banku’ on October 21.

The public workout which was part of the build up to the fight, gave the boxers the opportunity to showcase to their fans what they would witness on the day of the bout.

Hundreds of Bastie Samir’s fans trooped to the Arena to witness and cheer their boxer on as he takes on the undefeated boxer Bukom Banku who has promised to add ‘The Beast’ to his list of defeated victims during his twenty years illustrious career as a boxer.

Bastie Samir went through brisk training routines with five boxers including his brother Issah Samir who is also a boxer. The boxer further sparred with two boxers before making his way out of the Arena. Bukom Banku also proceeded with his workout shortly after Bastie left the Arena.

Despite the bout being postponed to October after it was originally scheduled to take place on September 30, The Beast confirms to GhanaWeb.com that he is ever ready to be the first boxer to knock out Bukom Banku.

“I was ready on the 30th of September and it was postponed, so after his workout we are ready to go.”

Samir expressed his gratitude to his fans for turning out to support him and promised not to disappoint them on the day.

Each boxer would earn GHC 100,000 from the organizers ‘Box Office Promotions’ after the bout whilst the winner of the fight will also earn GHC 5,000 cedis package from the Mayor of Accra, Nii Adjei Sowah.
