The former chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, has endorsed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, to win the 2024 elections.
He commended Dr. Bawumia's choice of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, as his running mate, believing it to be a strategic move that will lead the party to success.
Baah Agyemang mentioned his visit to Kumasi to participate in NAPO's unveiling ceremony and to facilitate his introduction to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
In a conversation with Kessben FM, which was monitored by GhanaWeb, Baah Agyemang expressed his confidence in Dr. Bawumia's prospects for the 2024 elections.
"Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, who will be the next president of Ghana, has chosen NAPO as his running mate. I'm here in Kumasi today to present him to Otumfuo before we formally introduce him to the public. That's the main reason for my visit," he stated in Twi.
The official presentation of NAPO as the NPP's vice-presidential candidate is currently underway at Jubilee Park in Kumasi, attended by notable figures from the NPP.
Dr. Bawumia is preparing to contend with NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, and other political party candidates.
