Adjoa Bayor,skipper of Ghana's Women's football team,the Black Queens has been selected by FIFA to feature in the FIFA Women's World Stars against China,the host of 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup on 22 April 2007 in Wuhan,China. Eventhough a creative midfielder,the 2005 African Female Footballer of the year was selected as a defender. The festivities surrounding the final draw for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2007 in Wuhan,China on 22 April will get off to a flying start on the eve of the draw with a showcase match between the China women's national team and the FIFA Women's World Stars at the Wuhan Sport Center Stadium, one of the five venues for the final competition itself in September 2007. It promises to be a fine way to open the event!
The FIFA Women's World Stars will largely be made up of players from teams that have already qualified for the final competition.
The final draw, which will determine the groups for the first stage of the FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007, will be held at the Wuhan Guanggu Science & Technology Exhibition Centre the day after the match.
The FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007 will take place in Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Tianjin and Wuhan from 10 to 30 September.
