Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has expressed his joy after beating Hearts of Oak in two successive matches in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors deepened the woes of the Phobians at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Ugandan striker Steven Desse Mukwala scored a goal in each half to help the Porcupine Warriors secure the maximum points and claim the bragging rights.

Prosper Narteh Ogum, after the match, explained that beating Hearts of Oak back-to-back is a motivation for his team to end the season on a good note.

"Beating Hearts of Oak back-to-back is not an easy job, so I'm happy. I think it's an honour for this group of players; it's been a while since this happened. I'm not very sure of when this actually happened, but it's been a while, so we are all happy, and you could see that when the final whistle was blown."

The result has seen coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum's side climb up to 9th place, while Hearts of Oak drop to 14th.

Asante Kotoko's next fixture is against Accra Great Olympics at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
