Berekum Chelsea boss Svetislav Tanasijevic says playing his home matches away from the Berekum Golden City Park has been a bother to his club.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football imposed a ban on Chelsea after their fans manhandled referee Yakubu Nuhu Liman in their game week two encounter against Dreams.
The coach of Berekum stressed that the ban has contributed to his club’s unimpressive form in the league so far.
“For us it is a different situation. Everything is different because we played all our matches away. Today, we are done with our ban and next week we’re at home.” Tanasijevic told the media after they lost to WAFA by 2-1 at Tema Astro-turf park.
“This is the sixth game we’ve played away, it has been tough time for us because all the time we’re on the road.”
The Serbian gaffer further reiterated that they fought hard to get something positive out of the game against WAFA but their effort was not enough
“My boys were tired and it was difficult for us; the pitch and everything. Very hard for both teams but my team, we got a goal but it was not enough as WAFA scored twice,”
