Berekum Chelsea eyes hat-trick over Asante Kotoko

Accra, June 30, GNA - League champions Berekum Chelsea have targeted a hat-trick of victory's in the year's soccer season over Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of their clash in the President's Cup on July 1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Chelsea earlier beat Kotoko twice in the Premier League 3-2 at the Baba Yara Stadium and 1-0 at the Golden City Park, Berekum; and are looking forward to confirm their superiority over the Porcupine Warriors.

Orlando Wellington, head coach of Berekum Chelsea told GNA Sports in Accra ahead of their meet that his team is fired up for the clash with Kotoko.

"We have been training feverishly for the encounter and I can say we are ready."

After two wins from their previous meetings, coach Wellington expects Kotoko to come all out, adding that he has the material to halt them.

"We are targeting the trophy to appease our fans after the FA Cup slip. We are focused on winning."

The one-off match is being organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) to commemorate the nation's 51st anniversary of attaining Republican status.

The match is also to honour President John Evans Atta Mills on his achievement.
