Berekum Chelsea have reached a deal to sell talented midfielder Latif Salifu to Ivorian champions AS Tanda, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 25-year-old has joined the Zanzan region-based side for an undisclosed fee.

Salifu transfer to Ivory Coast comes as a huge shock after local giants Hearts of Oak announced signing him on a three-year deal.

But GHANASoccernet.com understands the Phobians reached personal terms with the player and not his club who own his economic and registration rights.

“Hopefully by Sunday, Latif’s ITC will leave Ghana to Ivory Coast to finalized his transfer. Both parties have reached an agreement,” a club source told GHANASoccernet.com

Salifu was regarded a promising prospect when he emerged from the stables of Liberty Professionals six years ago.

He was a member of the Ghana team which won the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt.
