Ghana and Paderbon striker Bernard Tekpertey has received a call up to join the national U-23 side the Black Meteors of Ghana ahead of their AFCON U-23 qualifier against Gabon on March 23.
The 21-year old joins a list of other Ghanaian players abroad who have been invited by Ibrahim Tanko for the double header. The number of foreign players has now increased to 11.
In a statement released by his club on his national team call-up read: “We are very pleased with the nominations of our players for national teams of their home countries and all three players have earned this recognition with strong performances in the SCP07 jersey and we wish them good luck for the international matches and hope that they return safely to Paderborn".
The Schalke player on loan has been in fine form for Bundesliga 2 side Paderbon and has registered nine goals in the ongoing season.
Tekpertey made his debut for the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
