Besiktas set to lose Opare

FC Porto defender Daniel Opare has been linked with a 4.5 million euro move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.

The right-back is currently on loan with rivals Besiktas who have reportedly failed to reach the Ghana international’s valuation by the Portuguese giants.

Opare after failing to land a first team role at Porto since joining after the 2014 World Cup was subsequently loaned out to Besiktas in the January transfer window.

He quickly settled in at the club and was reported to earn a permanent deal at the end of the season but negotiations over a deal with his club look to have taken a nose-dive.

Multiple reports in the Turkish media now claim that Besiktas who have been listed among seven clubs to have their squads for the European club competitions next season capped for breaking Financial Fair Play rules, are unwilling to meet Porto’s demands of around four million euros for the 24-year-old.
