Over three hundred young talented footballers showed up at the Twene Amanfo School Park in Sunyani for the Brong Ahafo Regional tryouts of the Betway Talent Search.
The scouting team headed by former skipper of the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah was extremely impressed with performance of the young footballers. After a deliberation by the coaches, thirty-two (32) players were selected from Sunyani for the Northern trials.
Players had an opportunity to showcase their skills to other prominent coaches and scouts present at the Twene Amanfo School Park.
Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey was satisfied with the selections process and caliber of coaches associated with Betway Talent Search.
Speaking to the media, he said “when they explained the rigorous drills they have to go through for their selection, it really excited me because I knew the best will come out of it. Also, looking at the kind of personalities working on the Betway Talent Search, you can tell they mean serious business.”
On the same day, Godwin Agyei, a resident of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region has walked with a cash prize of GHC 25,000 from Betway for partaking in the Betway “4 To Score” free prediction game. He predicted Bournemouth, Middleborough, Arrington and Yeovil as the first four teams to score correctly.
