The ex-Black Stars goalkeeper has offered words of advice to his compatriots, who are featuring in the English Premier League, stressing on hard work, ability to withstand criticisms from the English media as some of the key elements to enable them thrive well in arguably, the most exciting league in the World.

Five (5) Black Stars players are currently playing in the topflight league in England, which is unprecedented in the anal of Ghana football: Andre Ayew (Swansea City), Jordan Ayew (Aston Villa), Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City), Kwesi Appiah (Crystal Palace) and Christian Atsu (Bournemouth fc).

And Richard Kingson, who also played for Birmingham, Wigan Athletic and Blackool all in the EPL has shared his experience with the players in question, highlighting on hard work and high concentration levels as some of the things to embrace if they want to be successful in the topflight league in England.

“The Premier League is a physical and a mental game. They (Ghanaian players) should tune their mind and be very strong by working hard, because hard work pays.

“They all good players, but things that will help them are hard work and concentration. The English press can write something that could discourage them, if you are not careful. But if they focus on what they want to do and also work hard they can make it,” he told Accra based, Kasapa FM.
