Big welcome planned for Adamu tonight

Despite losing his bid for a third stint as the Commonwealth Super Middleweight champion, managers and fans of Charles Adamu The Crusader are hailing the warrior-like performance of Adamu in last Saturday’s fight against the unbeaten Rocky Fielding.

That is why they are planning a massive welcome party for the former 2-time Commonwealth champion when he touches down at the Kotoka International Airport aboard British Airways Monday night 7pm sharp.

“We are very proud of Charles Adamu, he showed he is a good boxer. In fact, he is the best we have in Ghana,” said Abdul Mohammed Samadu, Manager of the boxer.

“I have received lots of calls from many Ghanaians in the UK congratulating us for the fight Adamu put up. He stood up and fought very well against the British boxing hopeful. This was the first time the guy (Fielding) had gone 12 rounds,” he added.

Fans comprising mainly All for One Supporters Union (ALFOSU) and Millennium Supporters Union have confirmed they will sing and chant to set the airport ablaze with excitement whilst waiting for their hero later this evening.
