Accra, Oct 18, GNA - The Black Queens, Ghana's female national soccer team will meet their South African counterparts, the Bayana Bayana, in two friendly matches slated for the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Friday and Sunday, October 21 and 23 respectively. The encounters are to serve as trial matches for the two sides as they prepare to launch their campaigns for the 2006 African Women Championship.
A Ghana Football Association (GFA) statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, deputy general secretary said the South African contingent made up of 25 members would arrive in Accra on Wednesday, October 19. The statement said a flat rate of 10 thousand cedis would be charged as gate fees for both matches.
