Black Satellites set for friendly match against Belgium's KV Mechelen on July 2

The Ghana U20 male national team, known as the Black Satellites, are scheduled to face Belgian top-flight club KV Mechelen in a friendly match next week.

According to a communique from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the game is set for Tuesday, July 2.

"The Black Satellites will engage in a series of friendly matches in France and Belgium. The team is slated to compete against Belgian side KV Mechelen on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at K. Rumstse SK, Doelhaagstraat, 70, Tourcoing, Nord.

"Subsequently, they will confront the Royal Antwerp U23 team on Sunday, July 19, 2024, at Oude Bosuilbaan 54a, 2100, Antwerp," a portion of the statement from the GFA released on Friday reads.

The Black Satellites are presently in France, embarking on a three-week European tour. The GFA has stated that this tour is part of the preparations for the Ghana male U20 team ahead of the 2024 WAFU B U20 tournament.

Desmond Ofei, the coach for the Black Satellites, has traveled with a 22-man squad for the tour.
